Guidelines & getting started

Feel free to add or edit content, but observe the same content criteria as Wikipedia uses, and read and apply the Minnlawpedia style guide.

To create a new page, the best way is to start on an existing page. Find the word you want to become the title of the new page and enclose it in double parentheses. Like so: ((divorce)). Always link only the singular form (see the style guide for more information). Or, you can just create a new orphan page--a page not linked to any other page.

For more on wiki syntax, see the TikiWiki Documentation. It is easy once you get the hang of it!

Earn a "featured link" by contributing

You can earn a featured link by contributing meaningfully to 10% of the articles on Minnlawpedia.org. "Meaningful" is subjective, and is something more than fixing a few grammatical errors, something less than (but including) drafting a new article. Close calls will be decided by the administrator.

Obviously, it will become more difficult to earn a featured link as the wiki grows, but the value of those links will also increase with the traffic. As of 2.20.2008, there are only 10 articles, and therefore only one substantial contribution will earn the contributor a link.
